As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Senior EHS Specialist at our Logansport, IN Plant.

This position is responsible for identifying opportunities and driving improvement of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) risk at the location level. This EHS Specialist in this role will work to implement programs, processes and procedures within the Renewables business unit at our Logansport site. In this critical role, you will lead initiatives to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations while fostering a culture of safety and sustainability. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical background and a passion for creating a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for identifying opportunities and driving improvement of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) risk at the location level. This role is corporate based, working to implement programs, processes and procedures within its respective business unit.

Key Responsibilities
• Support locations in execution of EHS Management Systems, Significant Injury and Fatality (SIF) initiatives, and Life Critical Policies through education and training, auditing, coaching and leading.
• Provide strategic leadership to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.
• Assist with the development of business unit EHS policies and procedures.
• Provide incident investigation support and lead those classified as Red Risk.
• Ensure operations activities incorporate all necessary auditing, monitoring, reporting and inspections to comply with standards.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
• 5-10 years’ relevant experience required
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), and/or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) certification preferred
• 10% travel requirement

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

Work is performed in a 24x7 Ethanol production facility. This position involves frequent exposure to adverse weather conditions, dirt, dust, fumes, noise, heights, and intermittent lifting of heavy objects. Some work performed in heights. Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
