Erosion Control Inspector - Illinois

M Squared Engineering is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, self-directed, Part-Time – Erosion Control Inspector for a position in our Itasca, IL office. Inspection locations would be throughout the Chicago Land area and the surrounding suburbs. Tasks & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Conduct field inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with erosion control regulations.
• Prepare reports on inspection findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Interact with contractors, property owners, and other stakeholders to implement erosion control measures effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection activities.
• Stay up to date on changes in erosion control regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:
• 2-year technical degree in a science or engineering background.
• At least 2 years of experience in erosion control inspection.
• Strong understanding of erosion control principles and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment.
• Permitting and/or CADD Experience is a plus (Which may allow the possibility of turning this position into full-time. (Benefits will be available if the position becomes full-time)
