About the position

The Environmental Technician role at HPC Industrial involves active fieldwork focused on hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling hazardous materials. Responsibilities
• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.

• Hands-on operation of manual and automated hydroblasting equipment.
,
• Operation of special equipment, such as Ultra High-Pressure pumps.
,
• Operate equipment by energizing the pumping equipment and/or any specialized Hydroblasting and/or Chemical cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks, and cutting equipment being used on the job.
,
• May be required to examine surfaces cleaned to ensure conformance to company and customer expectations.
,
• Conduct routine and required maintenance on the unit and all peripherals, including industrial vacuuming equipment and the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

• Perform routine maintenance on company equipment being used on the job.

• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred.

• Ability to perform physical functions per key responsibilities.
,
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical as required by the position.
,
• Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training and on-the-job training.
,
• Language proficiency in English to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.

• OSHA certification may be required for this job.
,
• Knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.

Nice-to-haves
