About the position
HPC-Industrial Powered by Clean Harbors in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a Laborer/Environmental Technician I to join our safety-conscious team. This role will be active in the field responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials. The Environmental Technician responsibilities may include confined space entry, working at heights, and working alongside various types of equipment. This is a physically intensive position. Responsibilities
• Perform hazardous waste clean-up and site remediation tasks.

• Conduct equipment decontamination and handle hazardous materials safely.

• Enter confined spaces and work at heights as required.

• Operate various types of equipment in a safe manner.

• Maintain a high level of safety awareness and compliance with safety protocols.
Requirements
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments.

• Experience or training in hazardous waste management is preferred.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to environmental services.
