Environmental Sustainability and Safety Manager

Planet Pharma is looking for an Environmental Sustainability and Safety Manager in Zwolle, Netherlands. The role involves driving environmental improvement projects, managing permits, liaising with regulatory bodies, and ensuring compliance with safety legislation. Candidates should have a background in Environmental Science or Chemical Technology, proficiency in Dutch and English, and experience in SHE compliance. The position is full-time and requires participation in HAZOP/HAZID studies.
Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability and Safety Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving environmental improvement projects in energy, CO2 footprint, waste reduction, and emissions. You will also manage permits and act as liaison with regulatory bodies and the municipality.

Key Responsibilities:
• Drive environmental improvement projects in energy, CO2 footprint, waste reduction, and emissions
• Manage permits and act as liaison with regulatory bodies and the municipality
• Prepare the environmental annual report and coordinate enforcement visits

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for leading or participating in HAZOP/HAZID studies and guiding and advising line management and Safety Champions on SHE issues and CAPA follow-up. You will also ensure compliance with environmental and safety legislation, corporate policies, and ISO 14001/45001 systems.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a higher professional education (HBO) in Environmental Science or Chemical Technology. Proficiency in Dutch and English (spoken and written) is required, as well as proven experience in a similar environmental/SHE compliance role. Familiarity with relevant legislation (Activity Decree, PGS, ADR, ZZS) and hazardous substances is essential.
