The Kentucky Personnel Cabinet is hiring an Environmental Engineer II for the Division of Water in Frankfort, KY. The cabinet aims to improve the quality of life for all Kentuckians by preserving the Commonwealth's natural heritage and supporting sustainable energy solutions.

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Engineer II (FFTL) to join our team at the Division of Water/Water Infrastructure Branch/Engineering Section in Franklin County. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to perform reviews and inspections of plans, designs, activities, and operations related to drinking water and wastewater infrastructure to determine compliance with environmental engineering standards.

Holders of the Environmental Engineer II (FFTL) position will complete tasks such as:
• Reviewing and analyzing plans and specifications for drinking water and wastewater facility infrastructure construction projects for compliance with applicable state and/or federal regulations.
• Providing technical and engineering oversight for projects related to Emerging Contaminants.
• Performing periodic on-site construction inspections for emerging contaminant projects.
• Coordinating with local public water systems and associated partners to support projects.
