About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Specialist to join our team, supporting various client needs for evaluations, regulatory permitting, and National Environmental Policy Act documentation requirements for infrastructure improvements across the state.
Responsibilities
• Prepare documentation in compliance with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements, working with design teams on alternative analysis.
• Prepare permit applications for various resource impacts, including wetlands and waterbodies, fish and habitat, and floodplain.
• Conduct field and desktop surveys and studies for wetlands, habitat assessments, and other environmental resource impacts.
• Perform environmental research and analysis.
• Assist with proposal production and marketing initiatives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A Bachelor's degree in biology, wildlife management, environmental studies, or a related science field.
• 2-5 years of related experience conducting environmental field studies and preparing NEPA documentation, technical reports, and permit applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience with technical writing and presentation of data in logical formats (charts, graphs, tables).
• Proficiency with GIS use for database and map/figure production.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
