Environmental Sustainability Consultant

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Principal Sustainability Consultant to join our Environmental Stewardship and Resilience team in the western United States. This individual will be part of the team providing environmental stewardship, sustainability, and resilience planning, permitting, and consulting services to Aviation, Transportation, Municipal, and private clients nationally.

This senior-level consultant position will mentor mid- and junior-level consultants, provide direct support for activities related to ESR, project pursuits, and project delivery firmwide. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills and an interest in providing a broad array of sustainability and resilience planning and implementation services.

To be successful in this role, you must:
• Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited program.
• Minimum 15 years of applicable consulting experience.
• Ability to mentor and help guide junior consultants.
• Requires an accredited bachelor's or master's degree in environmental sciences/natural resources, environmental engineering, planning, or related field.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and ESRI ArcGIS software is essential for use in completing assignments.
• Ability to work in an independent but collaborative team environment and be highly responsive to client deadlines.

This role requires identifying and incorporating sustainability measures and approaches to make our projects more resilient to the ever-changing conditions with which our clients' infrastructure must function. It also involves helping to develop proactive environmental programs, including operational sustainability, environmental restoration, and long-term adaptation and resiliency planning.

This individual will be part of the Environmental Stewardship and Resiliency market segment. As a member of our team, you will identify and integrate solutions into our clients' infrastructure and operations that make them more sustainable and resilient. In addition, this senior-level consultant position will help manage clients and projects, contribute to business development, and mentor junior consultants.
