Job Description

MXA Talent Solutions is seeking an Environmental Sustainability Account Manager for a hybrid role based in Newmarket, ON. The position involves supporting companies in transitioning to a sustainable circular economy, focusing on corporate recycling and compliance. Responsibilities include developing sales strategies, customer acquisition, and vendor management. Candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in environmental programs or waste management.
Environmental Sustainability Account Manager

Anticipated Salary: $95k - $120k

Hybrid Work Model; 1 day per week onsite (location – think Newmarket area)

North GTA region / hybrid work model / full benefits (including pension) with competitive salary

You are the SME of corporate recycling / circular economy as it pertains to manufacturing-based recycling, environmental programs and compliance requirements.

The purpose of this position is to support companies in their transition to a sustainable circular economy through the introduction of our service offerings and program management.

This is a newly created position within a supply chain organization. It is part of a global giant within the auto industry and is looking to expand their business model and expertise within the circular economy/sustainable manufacturing marketplace.

You are a successful relationship build person whose passion for sustainability and circular economy resonates with potential customers as you highlight your company’s expertise that focuses in the recycling, disposal and repurposing of products and materials. You are an advocate for compliance standards, vendor management and the efficiency and cost-savings that customers will realize.

This newly created position is accountable to:

· Sales Strategist - assisting management in the sales and marketing strategy to offer environmental outsourcing initiatives.

· Developing and implementing a comprehensive sales strategy to promote this service offering

· Sales /Customer Acquisition

· Keeping abreast of industry innovations, environmental and government compliance and new service offerings.

· Vendor Selection and Management

Required:

Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Material Science or similar technical sustainability principals

5 years experience in waste management, environmental programs or circular initiatives

Experience in validation or process/product certification (e.g.: ISO17029 etc.)

Strong sales and needs evaluation experience
