Sanders Engineering and Analytical Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Environmental Specialist in Mobile, AL. Sanders Engineering and Analytical Services, Inc. (SEAS) is an environmental testing company based in Mobile, AL. Since 1978, SEAS has been conducting thousands of emissions tests using EPA test methods. SEAS offers both state and federal compliance testing services and can design individualized test programs to meet specific engineering needs.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Environmental Specialist at SEAS. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering. The primary responsibilities of the Environmental Specialist will be to assist in the performance, collection, and analysis of various types of emissions from varying industrial facilities while maintaining the highest of safety, environmental, and ethical standards.
Duties and Responsibilities · Assist in conducting on-site testing of materials, processes, and various pollution sources. · Responsible for preparation of equipment and supplies for the testing programs. · Perform maintenance, calibration, and repair of testing equipment and laboratory instruments. · Ensure testing procedures follow the methods required as stated in the operating procedure. · Provide accurate and complete field data and lab analysis required for generating reports, including all quality control/quality assurance, for submittal to the client and regulatory agency. · Develop skills and assist in the preparation of necessary standard solutions and reagents required for laboratory operations. · Perform routine analyses of samples for various chemical parameters using titrimetric, gravimetric, and volumetric procedures. · Assist in maintaining quality control/quality assurance records and data.
Qualifications
• Strong communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and laws is a plus
• Ability to analyze and interpret scientific data
• Experience in the environmental testing industry is a plus
