Environmental Specialist

Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking an Environmental Specialist for a field-focused role based in West Virginia. This position requires frequent travel (up to 75%) to regional project sites. You'll take the lead in field monitoring efforts for erosion and sediment (E&S) controls across construction projects, ensuring environmental compliance and regulatory standards are met.

Responsibilities
• Serve as the on-site field lead for environmental monitoring activities
• Monitor E&S controls on linear and site-based construction projects
• Document field observations and compliance findings
• Assist in stream and wetland delineations, surveys, and permitting support
• Apply knowledge of Section 401/404 permitting and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and agency representatives

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies or related field
• 2 to 4 years of hands-on field monitoring experience (E&S control monitoring or similar strongly preferred)
• Familiarity with wetland and stream delineation techniques and permitting processes
• Must have a valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly throughout the region
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather and terrain conditions

Preferred
• Relevant environmental certifications
• Experience working on utility, energy, or infrastructure projects
