Job Summary and Qualifications

Under direction of Environmental Services Director, ensures appropriate staffing and efficient performance of EVS staff to uphold cleanliness, infection control and patient safety standards for the hospital.

What you will do in this role:
• Builds an EVS team atmosphere by assisting director in hiring of staff, training of staff and staff development.
• Ensures proper equipment and supplies are used in accordance with infection control and patient safety standards.

What qualifications you will need:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to speak, read, and write the English language fluently.
• Ability to work as part of a team in an atmosphere that can be both fast paced high pressure and slow paced low pressure.
• Ability to operate autonomously on a varying set of tasks.
• Requires mobility and ability to move, lift, push, and pull equipment & supplies.
• Two years as EVS Technician; Two years lead or supervisory experience required, EVS lead or supervisor experience preferred.
• Must have strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and document.
• Must be able to operate, use, and train associates on the equipment used by the department to maintain the facility.
