Job Description
Pembrokeshire County Council is seeking an interim Environmental Services Project Manager for up to 12 months to oversee projects in Waste and Recycling, Street Cleansing, and Parks. The role involves managing complex projects, improving service efficiency, and leading communication strategies. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK, and safeguarding vulnerable individuals is a priority for the council.
We are looking for an Environmental Services Project Manager to support our Environmental Services Section from Waste and Recycling to Street Cleansing and Parks and Open Spaces. The post is initially for a period of up to 12 months, with the potential for an extension subject to funding. The role will involve managing small and large scale complex projects across the Environmental Services Division in line with PCC objectives, Welsh Government legislation, regulations and permit compliance. Providing support and capacity to the Environmental Services team to develop robust, creative and efficient processes, procedures and programme management across all work streams.
Leading on communication, education and engagement work across Environmental Services and developing and implementing a communication strategy.
Proactively identifying and considering measures and strategic recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the service and develop appropriate business cases, options appraisals and funding applications.
