Environmental Service Project Manager

The Environmental Service Project Manager at All Habitat Services in Branford, CT, is responsible for managing vegetation management contracts, project planning, and coordinating field crews. This role requires a mix of office and field work, with responsibilities including scheduling, monitoring safety and quality, and reporting. Candidates should have supervisory experience and effective communication skills, along with a valid driver's license and necessary certifications.
The Project Manager is responsible for developing and managing the coordination, timing and execution of vegetation management contracts, and working effectively with team members to ensure the highest quality services are delivered to customers. The position will have broad responsibility for project planning and proposal development, assigning work to field crews, scheduling projects, monitoring project safety, quality and progress, ensuring inventory and equipment resources are available for scheduled work, and providing accurate and timely reports for assigned projects. This position includes a combination of office and field work with scheduling dictated by assigned workload. The ideal candidate will have past supervisory experience, a history in sales, and/or bilingual fluency.

Required Skills/Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience
• Valid Driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Must obtain basic operator licenses and certifications within 7 days of start date
• Must obtain CT DEEP Supervisory License within 90 days of start date
• Ability to follow established procedures and practices
• Commitment to all health and safety guidelines
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with clients and co-workers
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy, excellent communication and organization

Desired Skills/Experience:
• 1-3 years of managerial or supervisory experience
• 1-3 years of business development or sales
• Aptitude in using various multi-parameter biological instruments
• GIS and/or GPS software experience
• Experience working with town inland wetland commissions, CT DEEP and other regulatory agencies for securing necessary permitting
• Familiarity with invasive and native plant identification

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• The work requires strenuous physical exertion, and the employee may be required to drive, stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel and crouch for extended periods of time, as well as see, talk, hear and use hands and arms to grasp, handle, reach and feel.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
