We’re looking for a bright and motivated Senior Project Scientist to join our Hamilton, New Jersey team.

As the ideal candidate, you are excited to join our project team to help our clients make informed decisions regarding property acquisitions, re-development, and contaminated sites management. The Project Scientist role is ideal for someone looking to build their skills for career advancement and professional growth. The ideal candidate will be familiar with relevant New Jersey regulations and have at least 3-7 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry.

A Day in the life of Project Scientist
• The workload for this position is multidisciplinary but requires strong analytical skills and a background in geology and/or environmental engineering.
• Responsible for implementing technical programs for environmental due diligence, soil and groundwater investigations and remediation, vapor intrusion assessments, remedial action permit monitoring, and regulatory reporting for commercial or industrial clients.
• Assist in the training and mentorship of junior/intermediate Project Associates.
• Prepare and edit technical reports, including the development of conceptual site models.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other potentially involved stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships.
• The position typically consists of approximately 35% field duties and 65% office work.
• Other job duties as assigned.

What you bring to the Pinchin team
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or engineering+8 and/or Diploma in Environmental Science.
• 3-7 years of related experience, preferably in NJ.
• Professional designation, such as P. Eng., P. Geo., C.E.T, etc. (or working towards) is considered as asset.
• Excellent writing, editing, technical, and organizational skills along with the ability to problem solve.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
• Availability to travel for work when required.
• Availability to work outside core business hours.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance & personal vehicle is required (work related travel expenses will be compensated).
• Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, and the ability to pass a company physical
