Field Responsibilities:

Conduct soil sampling and groundwater sampling in compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.

Perform soil logging, documenting soil properties and stratigraphy during field investigations.

Provide oversight for well drilling activities, ensuring safety protocols and quality control standards are maintained.

Assist in site assessments and environmental monitoring projects.

Ensure proper field documentation, including field notes and sample chain-of-custody forms.

Office Responsibilities:

Assist with GIS data management, including map creation, data entry, and analysis under the guidance of senior staff.

Organize and manage field data to ensure accurate, accessible, and up-to-date records.

Learn and assist in writing sections of reports for submission to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP).

Support project managers and senior scientists with data analysis and report preparation.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field.

2+ years of relevant field experience (internships, coursework, or previous employment experience).

Basic understanding of environmental sampling techniques (soil, groundwater).

Familiarity with health and safety protocols related to fieldwork.

Strong organizational and data management skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in both field and office settings

Pay Range - $28/hr-$35hr
