Northpoint Engineering, LLC is a well-established Civil Engineering, Land Planning, and Environmental Consulting firm located in Concord, NH. We are currently seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our team and to contribute to our environmental mapping and permitting services.

We offer consulting engineering services to commercial and residential developers, and to municipalities and institutions throughout New Hampshire. About the Position -Environmental Scientist

While we are flexible in how we fill this position, our ideal candidate would be someone who is already on the path toward a wetland scientist and/or soil scientist certification, has achieved an associate or bachelor’s degree in a natural resources field, and has experience in wetland delineation field work along with some level of experience in environmental permitting. This position involves working directly under a senior environmental scientist who is both a certified wetland scientist and certified soils scientist. It would also involve working side by side with our civil design team.

Opportunities and responsibilities will likely include a variety of the following:
• Perform natural resource surveys including wetland delineations and wetland assessments, vernal pool assessments, and rare species surveys.
• Perform soil mapping and data collection.
• Assist with environmental permitting projects including NHDES wetland permits, NHDES shoreland permits and ACOE Wetland Permits.
• Conduct environmental monitoring during project construction to ensure permit compliance and prepare inspection reports.
