Job Description
Haley & Aldrich is seeking an Environmental Scientist Intern for their Bedford, NH office for spring and summer 2025. The intern will assist engineers and project managers with project tasks, gain hands-on field experience, and participate in community sessions. Candidates should be at least 2 years into a geology, biology, or chemistry program and be available for a full-time internship lasting 3 to 8 months.
We are looking to bring on an Environmental Scientist Intern to join our Bedford, New Hampshire team during the spring and summer of 2025. This person will assist office engineers and project managers with day-to-day project tasks. This is a full-time role that will be about 3 to 8 months in duration starting as early as late-January 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to get some hands-on, working field experience and be a valuable contributor to our project teams. This role will be based out of our Bedford, New Hampshire office location.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:
• Serve in a project support role, working on technically challenging projects
• Assist Haley & Aldrich’s Data Validation, Risk Assessment, and Project Managers with the planning and execution of data management, risk assessment, and site characterization programs on various projects during the internship
• Attend weekly Lunch and Learns
• Attend weekly Internship Community Sessions
• Complete a presentation at the end of the Summer to include, but not limited to:
• Overall internship experience, technical projects review, favorite project, biggest obstacle, etc.
• Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn
• Be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
• Computer Skills – Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in all MS Office software
• Driver’s license highly preferred
• Ability to work for 3 or more consecutive months on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 weeks preferred)
• Other duties as assigned
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
• Candidate should be at least 2 years into their academic career
• Candidate should be enrolled in a geology, biology, or chemistry educational program (undergraduate or graduate)
