CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Scientist II to join our Environmental Team in Atlanta, GA or Duluth, GA. In this role, you’ll bring your growing scientific experience to the field and the office—supporting environmental investigations, analysis, reporting, and solutions that make a real difference.
What You'll Do
• Collect, analyze, and interpret geological, hydrological, biological, and other environmental data to assess project site conditions
• Perform field investigations and research to determine project site suitability, including collecting samples and providing construction operation assistance and drilling oversight
• Participate in the development of reports, assessments, design concepts, and comparative cost analyses
• Support office-based tasks including data analysis, report writing, and preliminary permit and specification preparation
• Assist mid- and senior-level scientists and engineers on a variety of environmental project tasks, including providing technical assistance to project engineers on geologic, hydrologic, biologic, or other scientific factors affecting environmental outcomes
• Review and evaluate potential impacts of federal, state, and local environmental legislation
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field required
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience required
• EPA-accredited asbestos building inspector certification required
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required; experience with ArcMap or basic GIS Mapping is a plus
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is a plus
• Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective scientific discipline
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem ‑ solving skills
• Demonstrated willingness to expand scientific knowledge and grow within the discipline
• Ability to conduct field work in various weather conditions and physically navigate diverse environments
• Valid driver’s license required
• EPA-accredited asbestos project designer certification a plus
• EPA Lead Inspector / Risk Assessor a plus

Salary Range
$62,000 - $70,500
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
