About Us:
CAPE Environmental Management Inc. is a national leader in environmental remediation and construction services. For over 30 years, we’ve delivered high-impact cleanup projects for federal and private clients. We’re now seeking a talented Environmental Project Scientist/Engineer to support projects across Hawaii, Pacific Islands, and the U.S. West Coast.

What You’ll Do:
• Prepare technical documents (work plans, SAPs, safety plans)
• Oversee and perform fieldwork, including sampling, remediation, and monitoring
• Ensure safety and quality compliance on site
• Write technical reports summarizing field activities and lab results
• Collaborate with project teams and support senior staff
• Contribute to continuous improvement and professional development efforts

Projects May Include:
• Soil excavation and disposal
• Groundwater treatment (e.g., chemical injection)
• Environmental dredging and MEC clearance
• Spill response and stormwater restoration

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in environmental remediation
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (with refresher)
• Strong communication, organization, and technical writing skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to meet physical demands of fieldwork and pass background check for DoD site access
• Ability to obtain professional certification (e.g., EIT, PE, GIT, PG) within 6 months

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in a related field
• Experience with NAVFAC, USACE, or other DoD agencies
• Familiarity with CERCLA, RCRA, Hawaii TGM
• Training: OSHA 30, CQM-C, RCRA/DOT HAZMAT
• Experience with GPS field tools (Trimble, Field Maps)
