Your Role:

Tetra Tech’s Chattanooga Project office provides technical expertise in environmental consulting, regulatory compliance, sustainability, resiliency, investigation/remediation, and community involvement to critically impacted properties in the City of Chattanooga, TN in support of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the local community. For over 25 years, our team of scientists, engineers, GIS analysts, and other specialists have supported the EPA's Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team (START) program across the country, and the staff supporting this project office are involved daily with work that helps directly impact the local community by supporting EPA’s core mission of protecting human health and the environment.

Responsibilities include:
• Providing technical assistance in support of site investigations, site remediation, sampling, community involvement, removal action oversight, air monitoring, and reporting
• Participating in field events that include multimedia sampling and field data collection, interpretation of results, and preparation of data/summary reports and deliverables
• Working well in a team environment as well as independently
• Periodically traveling to support environmental field activities on other Tetra Tech projects.
• Technical writing in support of environmental response, investigation, cleanup, and compliance activities utilizing MS Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)What We Can Offer You:

The successful candidate will/have:
• 0-3 years of experience in the environmental field
• Writing skills and ability to interpret and present field data in technical reports
• Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to prioritize multiple activities as well as organize, coordinate and analyze technical material
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license prior to employment
• Education or experience in environmental consulting, environmental compliance, community involvement, or related experience is desirableActivities may include the following:
• Data management (compilation, manipulation, and evaluation of data)
• Assisting with writing and preparing technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda
• Conducting project related research (historical data, regulations, etc.)
• Preparing periodic status/program reports
• Soil, groundwater, and air sampling in compliance with State and Federal standards
• Field processing and analysis of soil samples for lead impacts.
