Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid role for an Environmental Scientist at Reclaim Environmental Inc. The Environmental Scientist will be responsible for a variety of field work, including soil sampling, water sampling, electrofishing, species at risk identification, bird and bat surveys, and wildlife relocations. Additional responsibilities include wetlands assessments, environmental science research, environmental impact assessments, and environmental consulting. This position is located in Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON with some flexibility for work from home.
• Work hours are 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday.
• Weekly hours range from 0-40 based on season, with potential for overtime.
• Pay ranges from $20-$45/hr based on experience.

Qualifications
• Field Work and Wetlands assessment skills
• Strong background in Environmental Science
• Experience in Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Consulting
• Knowledge of sustainable practices and environmental regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or related field, or a Diploma in Fish and Wildlife Management
• Environmental/Geological/Civil Technician Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Natural Sciences (Earth Science, Environmental Science, or Engineering)
• 2+ years of related field experience for environmental works (drilling, sampling, remediation oversight)
• Experience completing soil vapour, indoor air sampling or sub-slab vapour sampling would be considered an asset
• Willingness to travel across Ontario and Canada and participate in field programs (as needed)
• Working knowledge of Provincial and Federal Environmental regulations
• Experience working in environmental consulting would be considered an asset
• A valid driver's G license and access to a vehicle are required, as this role will include field visits to client sites
• Self-motivated and independent work habits
