RK&K is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our Natural Resources Team in Baltimore. As an RK&K environmental scientist you will be actively involved in a diversity of wetland and forest delineation, permitting, habitat improvement, ecological restoration, protected species and other environmental projects. You will work with a multidisciplinary team on transportation infrastructure, water resources, utilities, and site development projects in Maryland and throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Essential Functions
• Conduct wetland delineations, forest assessments and other natural resource inventories
• Prepare documents and environmental permit applications
• Interact with RK&K project managers, clients and regulatory agencies
• Collaborate with other environmental professionals
Required Skills And Experience
• Team-oriented
• Adept at juggling multiple tasks
• Organized, thorough and responsive
• Excellent at written and verbal communication
• Motivated to find creative solutions to environmental problems
• Excited to work outdoors in all seasons
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or equivalent
• Undergraduate curriculum that emphasized natural resources disciplines
• 0 to 3 years relevant experience

Preferred Skills And Experience
• Candidates with natural resources internship and/or other directly related work experience highly preferred
• Experience in Maryland, Delaware, DC and Virginia
• Forest stand delineation, vegetation identification, wetland mitigation design, stream assessment, ecological monitoring, construction monitoring, GIS and CADD experience is a plus
