EnviroPhase Environmental Consulting is hiring an Environmental Scientist in the Dallas area. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Environmental Science or Geology and 2+ years of experience in environmental consulting. Responsibilities include conducting site investigations, managing subcontractors, and preparing technical reports. Environmental Scientist
EnviroPhase, a leading environmental consulting firm, is seeking an environmental scientist or geologist based in the greater Dallas area with prior experience in commercial/industrial environmental site investigations, due diligence, and regulatory compliance projects.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field
Experience:
• 2+ years experience in environmental consulting, including Phase I and Phase II environmental site investigations, subsurface boring installations, environmental sampling (soil, groundwater, and vapor), compliance inspections, and contractor oversight.
• Technical writing, including preparing text, tables, figures, and calculations for environmental reports.
• TX DHS Asbestos Surveyor certification preferred
Certifications: 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification and current 8-Hour Refresher strongly desired. Preference for candidates with TCEQ LPST Corrective Action Project Manager (CAPM), Professional Geoscientist (PG) and/or Geologist in Training (GIT).
Responsibilities:
• Perform a variety of writing and fieldwork for environmental site investigations, due diligence, assessment, remediation, and PST/UST projects.
• Collect and evaluate field data, including air, soil, and groundwater samples.
• Provide coordination, oversight, and management of subcontractors.
• Evaluate and interpret environmental data and prepare technical reports.
• Manages own time to meet agreed targets; develops plans for short-term work activities.
Other Qualifications:
• Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to independently manage multiple activities on an ongoing basis to meet project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Good problem-solving and general scientific evaluation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe.
• Knowledge and understanding of state and federal environmental regulations.
Travel: Periodic travel to local, regional area project sites in personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed). Use of personal vehicle is required with mileage reimbursed at published government rates. Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
