Job Description
Environmental Quality Analyst 1
This is an onsite full-time position for the Building Sciences West Quality Department from Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Summary:
We are actively seeking a candidate to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team with the Building Sciences West laboratories. This position reports to the local Quality Manager and is responsible for providing analysis, administration and oversight of quality policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate is one who has a strong attention to detail and organization skills and is comfortable working independently or as a team. The ideal candidate is also self-motivated, demonstrating a strong work ethic and flexibility to adapt to a dynamic work environment and changes in work priorities. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable working with various areas of the laboratory.
Preferred qualifications include previous laboratory or QA experience in a TNI, AIHA, NVLAP, or ISO17025 accredited laboratory. Experience with Microsoft Office applications is ideal.
Job Responsibilities:
Overseeing or reviewing, completing, and processing a wide-range of quality forms, documents, databases, and related materials.
Provides trend analysis, interpretation, and counsel to staff regarding quality policies, programs and practices.
Provides comprehensive research and feedback to resolve management and employee questions.
Participates in internal and external audits, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning with various departments to resolve discrepancies.
Provides or participates in training for various departments on quality systems, policies, and procedures.
Interprets and applies department policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; receives guidance within these areas as needed.
Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
Promotes and supports the overall mission of Pace by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
Requirements:
Basic understanding of the administration and oversight of quality programs, policies, and procedures.
Basic understanding of root cause analysis and the corrective action process.
Basic understanding of broad testing tools, equipment, and calibration.
Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office tools. Advanced knowledge of Excel is preferred.
Correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field; AND at least one (1) year of experience working in laboratory operations or quality; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Mobility to work in a lab and office setting, use standard office and lab equipment and stamina to sit for extended periods of time; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects; vision to read printed materials and computer screens; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.
Working Environment:
Work is performed in a lab and office setting. Work is subject chemicals, fumes, gasses, noxious odors and related items in a lab setting.

Pay Range/Compensation $40,000 - $45,000 per year
Work Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
