Job Description

The Environmental Protection Specialist at beBee Careers in Spain will ensure sustainability in oil and gas refineries by monitoring operations, conducting assessments, and developing GHG management programs. Responsibilities include internal audits, air quality monitoring, and compliance with environmental regulations. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, 17 years of experience, and familiarity with ISO-14001 standards. This is a full-time position.
Environmental Engineers play a critical role in ensuring the sustainability of oil and gas refineries. As a key member of our Global Manufacturing Excellence organization, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support in GHG management activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor facility operations and business plans to ensure alignment with environmental protection policies and applicable standards.
• Conduct comprehensive environmental assessments and provide recommendations.
• Develop, review, and implement GHG management programs including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Conduct internal GHG assurance audits and support third-party GHG audits.
• Monitor air quality, wastewater, water conservation, and waste management performance.
• Establish environmental KPIs aligned with company policies and strategies.
• Develop and deploy environmental management systems in accordance with ISO 14001.
• Develop and maintain environmental procedures and guidelines.
• Conduct benchmarking studies on environmental performance among oil and gas refineries.
• Stay updated on international and regional regulations related to emissions, waste management, and water to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including engineers, executives, and regulatory bodies, to ensure industry standards are met.
• Analyze complex data sets related to emissions and equipment efficiency to derive actionable insights.

You must have a strong understanding of global and governmental environmental policies and standards, as well as expertise in sustainability data, calculation methodologies, and limitations.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• 17 years of experience in oil and gas refineries.
• QEP certification (preferred).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with ISO-14001 standards.
• Excellent computer and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
