Environmental Project Manager

Plexus Scientific Corporation headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, is seeking an Environmental Project Manager (PM) to support our Environmental Remediation Group (ERG). The PM will be responsible for managing a variety of projects and meeting milestones for a range of remedial investigations; feasibility studies; designs and remedial action-construction; remedial action-operations; long-term monitoring: natural attenuation; and site closure, including projects with PFAS as chemical of potential concern (COPC).

Responsibilities include developing, budgeting, implementing, tracking, and managing projects under Plexus's existing and recently won federal government ID/IQ A/E and Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) contracts with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Air Force Environmental Center, and other government clients. Plexus has opportunities for staff to increase their knowledge and understanding of PFAS investigation and cleanup projects.

What you'll do:
Provide technical knowledge and leadership on multiple projects or one large project to ensure achievement of contract Performance Objectives, schedule, and financial performance Manage employees and subcontractors assigned to your projects Help organize, plan, write, review, and edit project documents in support of other ERG projects Apprise company management on your project(s) performance and request assistance when needed to ensure superior Contractor Performance Assessment Rating System (CPARS) ratings are achieved Support the Group's goals and objectives by preparing competitive technical and cost proposals Ensure client personnel are kept properly informed of project status and are appraised of project risks, as well as mitigation and contingency for those risks Perform cost-to-complete analysis on fixed price projects on a regular basis Communicate effectively with clients, regulators, and team members Meet project objectives to ensure client satisfaction and increase likelihood of follow-on work on the project Projects are typically located throughout the continental United States therefore Periodic business travel is required. Scope of travel will vary with different projects and may include functioning as the technical lead at project work sites.

What you'll need:
BS or BA degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, is required PE or PG registration/license is required 10-15 years of related work experience, including experience managing CERCLA and RCRA projects, such as remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design, and/or remedial action construction for USACE, AFCEC, or NAVFAC is preferred. Must have adequate experience in field work, workplan development, project management, data analysis, and report preparation Successful candidate will demonstrate a history of responsibility, initiative, motivation, and creative problem solving Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail Strong organization and oral communication Ability to work successfully independently, as a member of a team, and as a leader Proficiency with Microsoft Office software Project Management Professional (PMP) Credential preferred
