A strong understanding of Maryland, DC, and Virginia regulatory programs is essential, as you will interact with these agencies regularly. You will also be expected to develop new project work through sales efforts and responses to proposals, whether for new or existing clients. Writing and reviewing technical reports and proposals will be a significant part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will actively manage and develop existing client portfolios while seeking new business opportunities. Responsibilities
• Manage a diverse portfolio of environmental projects in alignment with financial and profitability goals.

• Provide senior level technical review and support for a diverse portfolio of projects.

• Manage all financial aspects of a project throughout its lifecycle.

• Conduct environmental due diligence, subsurface investigations, remediation, and compliance sampling/reporting.

• Interact with Maryland/DC/Virginia Regulatory Programs and ensure compliance.
,
• Develop new project work through sales efforts and responses to proposals.
,
• Write and review technical reports and proposals.
,
• Manage existing client portfolios and source new business opportunities.
,
• Hire and manage subcontractors for project work.
,
• Mentor and train scientific staff to ensure quality work products.
,
• Ensure safe performance of project work.

• Actively develop your own career growth.
Requirements
• BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology or other related field.
,
• 8 - 10+ years of solid technical experience in environmental projects.
,
• Experience with Environmental Due diligence (Phase I, II ESAs), comprehensive site assessment, remediation, and compliance projects.
,
• Professional Geologist (PG) certification is a plus.
,
• Experience with Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE), Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VDEQ), and District Department of the Energy & Environment (DOEE).

• Strong financial management experience is highly desired.

• Excellent technical writing skills are a must.
,
• Ability to mentor and train staff effectively.
,
• Excellent technical communication skills and strong attention to detail.

• Demonstrated excellent safety record and understanding of safe work practices.

• Valid driver's license, good driving history, and reliable transportation are required.

• Experience with Deltek Vision is highly desired.
