Job Description

Envirotech Environmental Consulting, INC. is hiring an Environmental Project Consultant in Lewes, DE. The role involves assisting the Senior Project Consultant in managing Natural Resource Management and Erosion Control services, overseeing project activities, preparing estimates and contracts, and supervising staff. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and relevant experience. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
Summary:

The Project Consultant Assistant is responsible for assisting the Senior Project Consultant in managing the Natural Resource Management and Erosion Control Divisions and overseeing the activities of supervisors and managers regarding all project assignments, equipment (including work vehicles), supplies, inventory and personnel. The Project Consultant Assistant assists the Senior Project Consultant in overseeing the enforcement of company policies and preparing estimates and contracts for clients and potential clients.

Assists Senior Project Consultant with:
• Managing all Natural Resource Management and Erosion Control Services activities.
• Planning, organizing, scheduling, and overseeing work activities assigned to supervisors and managers and follows through to see they are accomplished in an efficient and timely manner.
• Knowledge on all communities’ service contract guidelines, job site locations, pond labeling systems, and EECI’s project quality protocols.
• Communicates effectively with the Senior Project Consultant, supervisors, managers and employees.
• Estimates and proposals for current and new clients. Estimates include aeration services, pond maintenance, integrated vegetation, erosion control, certified construction review, etc…
• Ordering supplies for upcoming projects.
• Performing follow up phone calls to clients and returns phone calls
• Is available to assist on projects
• Substituting as Senior Project Consultant when unavailable
• Supervising and assigning work pursuant to company policies for aeration system installations and maintenance, algae and pond weed control, coastline stabilization and enhancements, pump and filter maintenance, invasive emergent plant control, flood control, phragmites control and eradication, educational outreach, public relations, supervisory responsibilities, continued education, etc.
• Represents EECI in a professional manner with integrity at all times in connection with business and provides factual scientific information to clients.
• Properly operates and maintains equipment, ensures that personnel are properly trained and able to do the same. Reads and becomes familiar with chemical Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Utilizes and directs the usage of all herbicides, algaecides and other products properly, while ensuring that personnel are trained and able to do the same.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or related field.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Proven experience in this or related field
• Competency with MS Office Software, Quickbooks, and other software necessary to perform the responsibilities of the position.
• Ability to work independently as well as with others. Ability to work in an organized, efficient manner with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion. Appropriately sets priorities considering competing demands. Excellent time and project management skills.
• Communication; clear understanding of customer service.
• Organization: must be able to handle and document multiple spreadsheets, files, and other organizational tools daily.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
