Field inspections will be a significant part of the job, where the professional will identify opportunities for compliance improvements and ensure that corrective actions are sustainable. The position also involves participating in internal audits and coordinating with regulatory agencies during inspections, acting as the primary representative for the company. Responsibilities
• Coordinate environmental compliance and remediation efforts for operating segments and construction projects.

• Mentor and onboard new employees regarding compliance requirements and organizational procedures.

• Evaluate operating and project data to ensure quality and accuracy for compliance evaluation and reporting.

• Conduct field inspections to identify compliance improvement opportunities and review them for broader application.

• Ensure sustainability of corrective actions and ongoing compliance.

• Participate in internal audits of facilities outside the area of responsibility.

• Act as the primary representative for the company during agency inspections, both verbally and in writing.

• Facilitate environmental permitting processes for maintenance, growth, and large capital projects.

• Evaluate and implement emerging regulatory issues through industry association committees.

• Provide regulatory applicability determinations and identify compliance requirements and tasks.

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, natural science, engineering, or a related field.

• 3 - 5 years of related experience in environmental compliance.

• Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations and standards.

• Ability to analyze, research, compile, and prepare permit applications and reports.

• Ability to evaluate and interpret governmental regulations and company policies.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to apply mathematical and statistical concepts.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including technical writing.

• Ability to present training materials and conduct verbal presentations.
