Environmental Policy Internship

• Internship Overview

This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in climate change policy and resilience initiatives.

We are seeking highly motivated individuals who can demonstrate capacity to support the implementation of statewide climate resilience initiatives.
• Assist in desktop research, materials development, and stakeholder engagement under the direction of senior staff members.
• Support outreach to external audiences through publication drafting, resilience-related communications materials, social media and website content, extreme heat awareness and preparedness outreach, etc.
• Prepare research briefs and draft materials for workgroup discussion and consideration.
• Responsibilities
• Support the Office of Climate Resilience staff in implementing climate change resilience initiatives.
• Conduct desktop research and develop materials to support these initiatives.
• Engage with stakeholders to promote awareness and understanding of climate change resilience.
• Requirements*
• Pursuing a degree in Political Science, Environmental Studies, Climate Resilience, Public Policy, or related fields.
• Experience with climate-related outreach and stakeholder engagement is highly preferred.
• Ability to translate complex scientific information into engaging communication.
