Job Description

Verizon is seeking an Environmental Policy Coordinator in Bernards, NJ, responsible for ensuring compliance with Environmental Health & Safety policies. Key tasks include reviewing environmental due diligence, staying updated on regulations, and coordinating with Environmental Counsel for necessary permits. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with at least three years in Environmental Science or Project Management, alongside strong analytical and communication skills.
Job Summary:
This role ensures compliance with Verizon's Environmental Health & Safety policies. The team evaluates network projects proposed by submarket teams to ensure regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include reviewing environmental due diligence, maintaining knowledge of current regulatory policies and standards, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal wetland regulations. Working with Environmental Counsel to obtain necessary permits and coordinating compliance activities to maintain permits and certificates are also key responsibilities.

Requirements:
We are seeking individuals with a Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. Three or more years of relevant work experience, experience in Environmental Science, Environmental Project Management, and strong project management skills are required. Excellent problem-solving skills, analytic, technical, and organizational skills, and effective communication at multiple levels are essential. Leadership, self-motivation, and team orientation are highly valued.
