About the Position

• This is a critical role in supporting the Department of Environmental Conservation's (DEC) work on conservation efforts in Vermont.
The position involves direct interaction with state and federal water quality partners, education about and engagement in other initiatives, and opportunities for career development in the field of natural resources improvement and protection.
Job duties include:
• Managing RCPP grants including reporting, tracking, and coordination with external partners.
• Assisting as Technical Program Manager (TPM), managing grant and contract agreements.
• Conducting outreach and education to partners to assess program needs, gaps, and opportunities.
• Developing outreach and educational materials and maintaining websites.
• Coordinating with state, federal, and local partners on project development and implementation.
The ideal candidate will have experience in grant, budget, and project management, as well as technical knowledge in agricultural, forestry, and conservation programs. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate work among multiple partners are also essential.
