Job Description
Titan America is seeking an Environmental Manager for its Pennsuco facility in Medley, FL. The role involves managing environmental practices, mentoring staff, liaising with regulatory agencies, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience. The position is integral to maintaining environmental standards at one of Titan's largest complexes.

We have an excellent opportunity for an Environmental Manager at our Pennsuco complex in Medley, Florida. The Pennsuco facility is Titan America’s largest complex with cement, concrete, aggregate and quarry operations. This exempt position will report directly to the Florida Environmental Director and will be responsible for implementing and managing environmental practices and standards at the Pennsuco facility.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
• Manage and lead the environmental program for the Pennsuco facility
• Provide coaching and mentoring to Environmental Engineers and interns
• Serve as liaison and company/plant advocate for environmental issues with regulatory agencies
• Prepare environmental permit applications, reports, and other communications for submittal to external parties
• Evaluate operations and make recommendations to reduce waste or pollution
• Recommend appropriate action to ensure conformance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Identify significant business based environmental risks and assist in developing actions to reduce, minimize or eliminate such risks
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment
• Maintain a high level of knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and land use laws and regulations
Qualifications:
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or relevant degree
• Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in industrial sector, preferably construction materials, or related industry
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory agency engagement
• Demonstrated experience of effective communication to a broad range of audiences including plant employees, plant leadership and regulatory agencies
• Detail-oriented with excellent time management and project planning and execution skills
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and relationship management skills
• Strong research, analytical skills and ability to stay up to date on emerging issues.
• Ability to continuously improve process
• Demonstrated experience of talent development and leadership of a technical site-based team
• Demonstrated experience managing complex Title V air permits
Preferred Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of Florida and Miami Dade County environmental regulations
• Experience in the cement and/or mining industry
