The Environmental Manager at Insight Environmental Engineering & Construction Inc is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, including hazardous waste management. This full-time position is based in Honolulu, HI, with a salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 per year.

SUMMARY
The role of an Environmental Manager is directly responsible for coordinating contractors’ compliance with the Federal, state, local and installation requirements. The Environmental manager must ensure compliance with Hazardous Waste Program requirements (including hazardous waste handling, storage, manifesting, and disposal). Implement of EPP, ensure environmental permits are obtained and maintained, complied with and closed out ensure compliance with stormwater program requirements. Ensure compliance with Hazardous Material (storage, handling and reporting) requirements and coordinating any remediation of regulations substance (lead, asbestos, PCB transformers.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively communicate with project teams, contractors, and DoD personnel.
- A keen eye for detail to identify deficiencies and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Develop and implement quality control plans (QCPs) that align with project requirements and DoD standards.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and corrective actions taken.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and DoD representatives to resolve quality-related issues and ensure project success.
ROLES & RESPONSABILITIES:
- The environmental manger must have completed RCRA Hazardous Waste Management or equivalent training with a minimum of 24 hours.
- -Annual RCRA Hazardous Waste Refresher Training(8 hour) in accordance with 40 CFR 262.17 (a) and 40CFR 265.16
- Training at least once every 3 years in accordance with 49 CFR 172.704.
- Must have minimum of 5 years of environmental work experience.
- Must always be on-site during work operations.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
