What You Will Spark At Amplify

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Manager to join our team. As an Environmental Manager, you will implement and support environmental programs that allow you to collaborate with a diverse group of professionals to manage environmental compliance and conformance. As a leader in environmental management, you will play a crucial role in securing environmental permits, implementing sustainability initiatives, and ensuring ISO 14001 certification for battery cell storage manufacturing. By collaborating with plant leadership, regulatory agencies, and local communities, you will drive environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and sustainability efforts that minimize waste, water usage, and environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities

Environmental Compliance and Certification
• Play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance by applying for and securing environmental operating permits, implementing, and maintaining the Environmental Operating System, and achieving ISO 14001 certification with battery cell storage manufacturing systems, including production processes.
• Provide environmental compliance, oversight, and consultation during the site construction, manufacturing engineering launch, and production operations, applying the highest standards of environmental stewardship and environmental regulations/guidelines with LiFePO4.
• Lead, assist, and support the development, implementation, and adoption of the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System/certification.

Sustainability and Impact Analysis
• Engage in planning discussions for programs and products by reviewing environmental checklists, evaluating sustainability actions, and submitting funding requests for environmental projects.
• Develop working relationships and facilitate actions to create a more sustainable world by partnering with plant leadership, employees, associates, operators, and the local community to implement sustainability plans and achieve site sustainability goals and objectives that minimize water usage, waste production, and material consumption.
• Analyze scientific data and perform quality control checks to quantify an activity's potential impact on the environment.

Regulatory Compliance and Stakeholder Engagement
• Stay updated on relevant federal, state, local, and corporate environmental regulations to evaluate projects or processes and ensure compliance with environmental legal regulations.
• Represent the company in facility environmental matters through interaction with regulatory departments, industry trade groups, professional organizations, non-governmental organizations, OEMs, and the local community, establishing trusted partnerships through transparent communications.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education And Experience
• Bachelor's degree with a major in environmental/manufacturing engineering or related sciences preferred.
• 5+ years of direct environmental experience in SWPPP, SPCC, wastewater, Title V air compliance or RCRA hazardous waste experience.
• Previous experience inspecting and evaluating processes to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations; environmental engineering preferably at manufacturing operations.

Skills And Abilities
• Proficiency in Air Permitting, Storm Water Permitting, Wastewater Permitting and/or Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Requirements.
• Technical reporting and presentations on environmental engineering projects and tasks.
• Lead and management experience with ISO 14001-2015 along with having internal auditor training or auditor certification.
