Job Description
Alignerr is seeking an Environmental Management Scientist for a remote, hourly contract role focused on improving AI systems related to sustainability and environmental decision-making. Responsibilities include reviewing environmental scenarios, evaluating sustainability reasoning, and providing structured feedback. Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in environmental management, a strong grasp of sustainability frameworks, and the ability to work independently. Compensation ranges from $30 to $55 per hour.
About The Role
We’re looking for environmental management professionals to help improve AI systems trained on sustainability, land-use planning, and environmental decision‑making.

Location: Remote
Type: Hourly / Task‑based Contract
Compensation: $30‑55 /hour
Commitment: 10‑40 hours/week
What You’ll Do
Review environmental management scenarios and analyses used in AI training.
Evaluate reasoning related to sustainability, impact mitigation, and resource planning.
Identify gaps between theory and real‑world environmental practice.
Provide structured feedback to improve clarity and applicability.
Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines.
Who You Are
3+ years of experience in environmental management or conservation roles.
Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks and environmental planning.
Able to critically assess written environmental analyses.
Comfortable providing detailed, structured feedback.
Nice to Have
Master’s degree in Environmental Management or related field.
Experience with environmental policy or regulatory frameworks.
Familiarity with AI or content evaluation workflows.
