Larsen & Toubro Limited is seeking an Environmental professional in Assam, India, with a Post Graduate degree and 8 years of experience in highway projects. Responsibilities include communicating EHS policies, updating EMP plans, identifying biodiversity issues, conducting training, ensuring compliance, and monitoring environmental attributes. This is a full-time position.
• Post Graduate degree in Environmental Sciences/Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Planning or similar qualification
• Professional Experience of at least 8 years in handling Highway projects.
• ØDisseminate and Communicate EHS Policy, EHS Management System requirements to project personnel.
• ØUpdate the EMP Plan to the requirements of the activities being conducted when there is a revision.
• ØIdentify key issues for biodiversity in the Project.
• ØPlan and conduct Internal Environment training programs, initiate drive to promote awareness on Biodiversity requirements.
• ØIdentify the client requirement for Biodiversity and ensure its compliance.
• ØIdentify alternatives that could avoid or minimize impacts on biodiversity.
• ØAdvise on the need for additional specialists to investigate specific ecosystem components.
• ØMonitoring of Air, Water, Noise, and other environmental attributes related to both land and under water.
