Our Community Partnerships Program works with frontline communities disproportionately burdened by pollution and environmental harms to challenge the environmental and social status quo.

We are seeking a One-Year Project Attorney to join our team and provide critical support to our Community Partnerships Program's coalition and litigation work. As a Project Attorney, you will work closely with our Supervising Senior Attorney to develop case strategies, conduct research, and participate in court proceedings.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong legal research and writing skills, and the ability to work effectively with community leaders and organizations. If you are passionate about environmental justice and have a proven track record of success in litigation and coalition building, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Litigation (70%): Conduct legal and factual research, prepare memoranda on issues related to ongoing or potential new cases, draft legal and factual documents in support of litigation and advocacy, participate in state administrative and court proceedings.
• Coalition Support (30%): Actively participate in relationships with clients, partners, and coalitions, manage the administration of coalition meetings by calendaring meetings, taking notes, sharing out action items, and other duties.
