Position: Environmental Justice Paralegal & Boston Office Operations Assistant
Description

Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) is seeking a full-time Paralegal and Operations Assistant who will primarily support the Environmental Justice team, with approximately a quarter of their time supporting operations in the Boston office. The role is based in CLF's Boston office, requiring in-person presence at least 3 days per week, with opportunities for remote work. The successful candidate will report to the Vice President for Environmental Justice and collaborate closely with the Manager of Operations and the Massachusetts Office.
What

you'll do
Environmental Justice Paralegal Responsibilities:
• Perform administrative duties such as setting up meetings, taking minutes, managing calendars, and booking travel;
• Assist attorneys and advocates with research, case preparation and litigation before courts and agencies, policy review, and other legal matters;
• Conduct factual research through online data collection, file requests, document reviews, and draft memoranda to support litigation, policy development, and advocacy;
• Organize, prepare, and maintain databases related to case files, discovery, court filings, and internal memoranda;
• Prepare for internal and external meetings, including case-related meetings;
• Ensure compliance with CLF's document retention policies;
• Develop presentations and spreadsheets, prepare expense reports, and handle other administrative tasks as needed.
Boston Operations Support:
• Collaborate with the Manager of Operations and Massachusetts Office to support facility needs in the Boston office;
• Provide in-person meeting support, including room setup, IT/AV support, and catering;
• Occasionally cover front desk responsibilities.
Other:
• Assist with special projects as assigned;
• Contribute to CLF's strategic priorities, diversity, equity, inclusion, and organizational excellence.
What you'll need

We seek a motivated, mature self-starter capable of working independently and collaboratively with colleagues across New England.

To succeed, you should have:
• Up to 3 years of paralegal or legal administrative support experience;
• Strong research, writing, and oral communication skills;
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy;
• Proficiency in software applications including Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint;
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, initiative, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
• An understanding of environmental and social justice issues; a background in environmental studies, social justice, science, or advocacy is a plus;
• Commitment to developing new skills;
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse colleagues and partners;
• Passion for CLF's mission;
• Dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Salary & Benefits

The starting salary range is $52,500-$58,000, commensurate with experience. CLF offers competitive benefits, professional development opportunities, and values work-life balance.
