About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to serve as our Environmental Justice Director. In this role, you will lead a team of outreach staff in developing and implementing statewide outreach plans and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement comprehensive outreach plans and budgets for diverse faith communities and environmental organizations.
• Collaborate with other directors and programs to ensure effective outreach materials and communication among faith communities and Green Teams across the state.
• Serve as project lead for specific cross-department projects, providing guidance and oversight to enhance team capabilities and service delivery.
• Engage with clergy, Houses of Worship, and seminaries to provide thought leadership on environmental justice and active engagement strategies.
• Organize and participate in community events, workshops, and collaborative projects that promote environmental justice and community involvement.
• Lead and support the advancement of policy campaigns, mobilizing community support and advocating for policy changes at local and state levels.

Requirements:
• 7-9 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years' experience directing and managing staff.
• Proven ability to lead projects and teams effectively.
• Demonstrated experience in community engagement, organizing, outreach methodologies, and program implementation.
• Excellent public speaking and interpersonal and communication skills.
• Possession of a master's degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required.
