KERAMIDA Inc. is seeking a full-time Environmental Inspector in Lake Charles, LA. The role involves conducting inspections, investigating environmental complaints, and ensuring compliance with regulations. An Environmental Inspector is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations at various sites. This includes conducting routine inspections, investigating complaints, participating in emergency responses, and assisting with enforcement actions. This may also involve monitoring equipment and collecting data related to environmental conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct on-site inspections of construction sites to verify compliance with environmental permits, regulations, and laws.
• Investigate environmental concerns, document findings and take appropriate action.
• Assist in the development and implementation of corrective actions.
• Operate and maintain environmental monitoring equipment, collect samples, and analyze data to assess environmental conditions and compliance status.
• Prepare reports on inspection findings, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Work with other environmental professionals, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to address environmental issues and promote compliance.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of environmental laws, regulations, and permitting requirements relevant to their area of responsibility.
• Utilize technical skills related to environmental monitoring, sampling, and data analysis.
• Effectively communicate with operators, the public, and other stakeholders regarding environmental issues and requirements.

Examples of Specific Duties:
• Reviewing environmental permits and compliance plans.
• Inspecting wastewater treatment sites to ensure proper treatment and discharge.
• Monitoring air quality emissions.
• Investigating reports of illegal dumping or pollution.
• Assisting with the cleanup of contaminated sites.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• On-the-job training and/or construction experience.
• OSHA training.
• Environmental certifications as required.
