Base Salary Information:

Environmental Impact Analyst 1 - $27.67/Hour OT Eligible

Environmental Impact Analyst 2 - $31.83/Hour OT Eligible

Environmental Impact Analyst 3 - $2751.00/Biweekly OT Ineligible

The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Central Region is looking for an Environmental Impact Analyst 1/2/3 Flex in Anchorage or Wasilla to help us Keep Alaska Moving!

What You Will Be Doing:

In the Environmental Impact Analyst 1/2/3 position you will be responsible for preparing environmental documentation to support construction of highway and airport projects, conducting research, compiling data, writing environmental documents, and obtaining the required project-related permits for routine, non-controversial highway and airport projects while applying the procedures, laws, standards, and regulations pertaining to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). You will occasionally conduct limited field studies, such as wetland delineations and eagle nest surveys, and participate in public involvement activities.

Environmental Impact Analyst 1

Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with the following competencies:
• Environmental Engineering:
Knowledge of the concepts, principles, theories, and methods to protect and improve the quality of the environment and its resources; and to monitor, control, abate, and prevent pollutants.
• Oral Communication:
Expresses information effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information.
• Reading:
Understands and interprets written material, including technical material, rules, regulations, instructions, reports, charts, graphs, or tables.
• Reasoning:
Identifies rules, principles, or relationships that explain facts, data, or other information.
• Writing:
Communicates information in a brief, clear, and organized manner.

Environmental Impact Analyst 2

Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with the following competencies:
• Environmental Engineering:
Knowledge of the concepts, principles, theories, and methods to protect and improve the quality of the environment and its resources.
• Public Planning:
Knowledge of functions, principles, methods, and techniques of public planning.
• Compliance:
Knowledge of procedures for assessing, evaluating, and monitoring programs or projects for compliance with State and federal laws.
• Decision Making:
Makes sound, well-informed decisions.
• Writing:
Communicates information in a brief, clear, and organized manner.

Environmental Impact Analyst 3

Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with the following competencies:
• Environmental Engineering:
Knowledge of the concepts, principles, theories, and methods to protect and improve the quality of the environment.
• Public Planning:
Knowledge of functions, principles, methods, and techniques of public planning.
• Compliance:
Knowledge of procedures for assessing, evaluating, and monitoring programs or projects for compliance.
• Influencing/Negotiating:
Persuades others to accept recommendations.
• Technical Competence:
Uses knowledge that is acquired through formal training or extensive on-the-job experience.
