Job Description

West Fraser is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor in Tarrytown, GA. The role involves fostering a strong EH&S culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, training staff, and managing workplace safety programs. Key Responsibilities:
• Support team members and leadership in identifying workplace hazards, investigating incidents, and creating a robust safety program.
• Assist the EH&S Manager in implementing facility EH&S initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA General Industry Standards alongside West Fraser's established protocols.
• Adhere to federal, state, and local environmental regulations while aligning with West Fraser Standards.
• Facilitate engaging EH&S training for all staff members.
• Monitor and report progress towards achieving our EH&S objectives and goals.
• Maintain timely reporting and recordkeeping related to EH&S activities.
• Administer first aid and triage in case of injuries to team members or contractors.
• Contribute to health screening processes, health education programs, OSHA recordkeeping, and hearing conservation initiatives.
• Perform other relevant duties as directed by the EH&S Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Experience in Environmental Health & Safety within a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, etc.).
• Strong understanding of effective EH&S program facilitation.
• Capable of delivering presentations and training to team members.
• Demonstrated proactivity, enthusiasm, and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to build and sustain cohesive teams.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced skills in computer operations, including MS Office applications.
