Job Description
The University of Nebraska Medical Center is hiring an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist in Omaha, NE. The role involves managing hazardous material shipping, conducting audits for DOT, OSHA, and EPA compliance, and acting as a Laser Safety Officer. Candidates need a Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline and two years of relevant experience. The position is full-time with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Manage the Hazardous Material shipping program.
Manage UNMC and Nebraska Medicine audit programs related to DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
Act as a Laser Safety Officer.
Assist in carrying out goals of the Environmental Health and Safety Department, performing various safety and regulatory tasks.
