Job Description

Roche is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist in Mannheim, Germany, to promote workplace safety and health. The role involves developing safety policies, conducting training, monitoring conditions, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate should effectively communicate safety principles across all staff levels. The position is full-time with a salary range of €41K–€70K annually.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local laws and regulations.
Plan and conduct safety training programs for staff and management.
Monitor workplace conditions to ensure safety standards are met.
Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Establish safety performance standards and metrics for evaluating safety performance.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the workplace.
Liaise with external safety agencies to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Keep up to date with the latest safety technologies and trends.
Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
Prepare reports and communicate findings to management.
