Job Description

Mon Health is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Representative in Webster Springs, WV. The role involves planning and implementing safety programs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, inspecting facilities, and advising on safety initiatives. Responsibilities include developing budgets, conducting inspections, preparing reports, and maintaining a safe work environment. A Bachelor's degree and a valid driver's license are required. This is a full-time position with a varying schedule.

Integrates hospital structural and safety requirements to comply with municipal planners and inspectors, fire marshal, state life safety inspectors, police, fire departments, and other agencies concerning building codes, sewer and water services, and fire/disaster drills. Develop operating and capital budgets for areas of responsibility. Advises in areas of plant safety, discuss special projects, and provide preliminary cost estimations to implement safety initiatives Periodically inspect buildings, equipment, and grounds for structural and operational conformance and reports defects or violations. Determines corrective or preventative measures as indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented. Conducts repairs as needed to correct discrepancies noted. Prepare various reports and logs including but not limited to maintenance requisitions, purchase documents, reports, and general correspondence in an accurate and timely manner. Ability to leave the facility and pick up supplies from vendor locations as requested. Maintain a neat, clean and safe work environment Attend, participate, and facilitate various committees and in-services including but not limited to Safety Committee Chair. Complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner Demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker relations Complete special projects as assigned Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Employee relations, customer service, verbal and written communication, keyboarding, work independently, flexible schedule, ability to handle multiple assignments, project management, problem solving Must demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation to independently perform tasks and additional duties as specified in the job description and the unit/department specific competency checklist Education • Bachelor's Degree Credentials • Drivers License (Required) Work Schedule:
