Job Description
Rogers Corporation is hiring an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer in Chandler, AZ. The role involves implementing and monitoring safety programs, engaging employees in health initiatives, conducting hazard risk analyses, and coordinating injury management programs. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least 2 years in EH&S, preferably in manufacturing. Summary:
This role is responsible for implementing, coordinating, and monitoring safety and health programs and for developing, implementing and monitoring initiatives to engage employees in the safety and health programs.
Essential Functions:
• Maintains safety management programs to ensure compliance and objectives.
• Contributes to initiatives to engage employees in the safety and health programs
• Ensures employees are trained in Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) programs. Utilizes support structure that fosters employee engagement.
• Performs hazard risk analysis, determination of effective controls and risk mitigation.
• Contributes to safety incident investigation teams to determine root cause, corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinates ergonomic, injury case management and return to work programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in related field. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
• 2+ years of EH&S experience
• Experience implementing and monitoring safety programs in manufacturing environment
