Job Description
Managed Staffing is seeking a Food Safety Coordinator in North Hollywood, California. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related fields and 2-3 years of experience in food safety. Key responsibilities include conducting inspections, monitoring food safety practices, developing policies, training staff, and maintaining documentation. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. The position is full-time with a schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Qualifications:
TRUE JOB TITLE: FOOD SAFTEY COORDINATOR
Education: Preferable Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Public Health, Environmental Health, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a related field. Experience in a high-volume food service environment is preferred.
Certifications: ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of HACCP principles, food safety regulations, and best practices.
Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety.
Responsibilities:
Conduct Regular Inspections: Perform routine inspections of food preparation and service areas to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations.
Monitor Food Safety Practices: Oversee food handling, storage, and preparation processes to prevent contamination and ensure the safety of all food products.
Develop and Implement Policies: Create and update food safety policies and procedures to align with current regulations and best practices.
Training and Education: Provide training to food service staff on proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, training sessions, and incident reports.
Allergen Management: Ensure proper labeling and handling of allergens to prevent cross-contamination and protect guests with food allergies.
Quality Management System: Continuously maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) on site to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
Collaboration: Work closely with the culinary team, management, and health department officials to ensure a safe and compliant food service environment.
