North West Leicestershire District Council is seeking an Environmental Health Team Leader for its Safety Team in Coalville, UK. The role involves leading frontline services like food hygiene and workplace safety, managing a team of five officers. The position offers a combination of home and office working, a salary of £42,708 - £46,731, and various employee benefits.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Team Leader for our Environmental Health Safety Team to make a powerful contribution to both residents and businesses across the district.
About the role
You will lead the operational delivery of essential frontline services, including food hygiene, workplace health and safety, and port health. You will supervise a talented team of five Environmental Health Officers/Food Safety Officers. This role offers unique opportunities such as overseeing safety at the world-renowned Download music festival and supervising port health services at East Midlands Airport, the UK's largest cargo airport.

You will be able to manage multiple workstreams and achieve outcomes while keeping the customer at the heart of everything you do. You should possess a well-developed knowledge of environmental health issues and excel in problem-solving across various disciplines. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and can think on your feet, we want to hear from you! Experience in port health is desirable but appropriate training will be provided.
Successful applicant must undertake a standard DBS for an airside pass.
• 36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £42,708 - £46,731 (including market supplement enhancement)
